Home studio - Kim W.
Kim’s project started by looking for a simple acoustic solution for his home studio. He didn’t want to place foam pyramids or boring black panels on the sidewalls. The idea was to get acoustic absorbers in a classy look that would remind him of an old-fashioned movie theater. That’s why the luxurious red and gold king’s cape fabric was chosen.
We split the job into two parts: first was the creation of a reflection-free zone on the listening position by using thicker Woody Queen absorption panels. In the second phase, we equipped the rest of the room with extra panels to prevent unwanted reflections from sidewalls in the back of the room. This created a second listening position in the back of the room, which is useful especially when Kim has friends visiting him and they listen to the music from there.
